Equity financing:

Raising equity can be an appealing solution to finance the growth of your business and make you benefit from the experience of new investors. However, the process is demanding and much value can be lost because of poor advice.

Our team provides early stage (up to series B) fundraising services to start-ups and mid-size companies, suited to their needs. Armor Capital has a strong network of Venture Capital and Private Equity firms and often takes part in equity financing by becoming an investor in your company.

Guillaume Caillet

Managing Partner

Guillaume Caillet is responsible for the overall management and operations of Armor Capital. He brings 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and corporate finance in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to founding Armor Capital, Guillaume led the North American & Asian divisions of Natixis Pramex International, growing the firm to a team of 25 consultants and advised over 300 companies. In 1998, he founded a New York based hi-tech startup that sold products to Fortune 500 companies including IBM. Guillaume holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University with a focus on Entrepreneurship. He is fluent in English and French.

Jean Giorgis

Partner

Based in Astana, Jean has accumulated 25 years working experience in Kazakhstan. Prior to joining Armor Capital, he was the former General Manager of Thales Kazakhstan Engineering. Specialized in General Management in Central Asia, he is in charge of providing Business Development & Strategy services. Jean holds a BA in Marketing from the Institut de Preparation à la Gestion and a Master of Management & Economy from Pantheon-Sorbonne University. He is fluent in French, English and Russian.

Jacques Baudier

Partner

Based in Paris, Jacques joined Armor Capital in 2012 and is managing the European activities. A software and electrical engineer by background, Jacques has mostly worked in high-tech industries in various senior Technical and Management positions. He lived in Japan, Korea and Taiwan for over 12 years while working for STMicro and Numonyx. Jacques holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University. He is also a graduate from INSEAD, HEC Paris and UPMC (Université Pierre et Marie Curie). He is fluent in English and French.

Sina Rahimy

Senior Consultant

Sina joined Armor Capital in 2017. He is responsible for originating and executing cross-border M&A transactions. Prior to Armor Capital, Sina gained over 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance. He worked for Rabobank’s Leveraged Finance department and rotated across Rabobank offices in the UK, Australia and The Netherlands. Sina holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and an MSc & BSc in Financial Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is fluent in English and Dutch, and conversational in Mandarin and Farsi.

Clement Feng

Senior Consultant

Based in Shanghai, Clement has advised many Chinese investors in seeking targets in EU countries and Chinese companies in attracting strategic partners or investors from abroad. He held various senior management positions in s global companies in China, such as Cameron (US O&G drilling package supplier), TTS (Norwegian O&G) and Lloyd’s Register. Clement is a Doctor of Business Administration candidate at the University of Manchester. He holds an MBA and BSc. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Sonia Chan

Consultant

Sonia joined the team in December 2018 as Consultant. Based in Hong Kong, she is responsible for Armor Capital’s business management and supervises the firm’s marketing communications. She also provides legal support as a Hong Kong qualified barrister. Prior to Armor Capital, Sonia gained nearly 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications at US Fortune 500 industrial gases company Air Products. Before that, she served as Editor of China STAFF and China Tax Intelligence magazines. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manchester. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Shawn Xiao

Analyst

Based in Hong Kong, Shawn (CPA, CIMA) specializes in industry research, deal sourcing/execution and financial analysis. Prior to Armor Capital, he worked for a US private equity fund, a Hong Kong conglomerate, and KPMG. He holds an MBA (with Excellence Scholarship) from Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University. Shawn is a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker with fluent command of English.

Mohan Anem

Senior Independent Advisor

Based in Singapore and Mumbai, Mohan Anem joined Armor Capital. He has over 20 years of cross-functional experience in finance as a dealmaker and investment advisor. In 2014, he served as Manager of Corporate Finance, Investments and Treasury, for a 2-billion UK/Swiss-based transport company. He also founded investment banking boutique Mainmast Capital and outsourcing company Savytree Offshoring. His qualifications include an MBA from the London Business School, and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.

Avinash Advani

IT Manager

Avinash Advani brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of Information Technology to his role. He moved to Hong Kong in 1995 to support Asia SMEs on implementing Accounting and Trading software. Later, he served as Chief Technology Officer of a large multinational garment manufacturer for 10 years. Avinash also founded Acube Limited to provide a wide array of IT services from managed IT solutions, to web, software development and ERP/CRM implementations. Avinash holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai. He speaks English and Hindi.
