Equity financing:

Raising equity can be an appealing solution to finance the growth of your business and allow you to benefit from the experience of new investors. However, the process is demanding and much value can be lost because of poor advice.

Our team provides early stage (up to series C) fundraising services to start-ups and mid-size companies, suited to their needs. Armor Capital has a strong network of Venture Capital and Private Equity firms and often takes part in equity financing by becoming an investor in your company.

Guillaume Caillet

Managing Partner

Guillaume Caillet is responsible for the overall management and operations of Armor Capital. He brings 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and corporate finance in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to founding Armor Capital, Guillaume led the North American & Asian divisions of Natixis Pramex International, growing the firm to a team of 25 consultants and advised over 300 companies. In 1998, he founded a New York based hi-tech startup that sold products to Fortune 500 companies including IBM. Guillaume holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University with a focus on Entrepreneurship. He is fluent in English and French.

Jean Giorgis

Partner

Based in Astana, Jean has accumulated 25 years working experience in Kazakhstan. Prior to joining Armor Capital, he was the former General Manager of Thales Kazakhstan Engineering. Specialized in General Management in Central Asia, he is in charge of providing Business Development & Strategy services. Jean holds a BA in Marketing from the Institut de Preparation à la Gestion and a Master of Management & Economy from Pantheon-Sorbonne University. He is fluent in French, English and Russian.

Alain Ghiretti

Partner

A graduate from Mines and HEC Paris, Alain was a Former CEO of several companies in the heavy industry sector with over 25 years of experience. His expertise is in advising and negotiating in the industrial sector for company takeovers or new technologies development. Based in Morocco, Alain is fluent in English and French.

Clement Feng

Senior Consultant

Based in Shanghai, Clement has advised many Chinese investors in seeking targets in EU countries and Chinese companies in attracting strategic partners or investors from abroad. He held various senior management positions in s global companies in China, such as Cameron (US O&G drilling package supplier), TTS (Norwegian O&G) and Lloyd’s Register. Clement is a Doctor of Business Administration candidate at the University of Manchester. He holds an MBA and BSc. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Mohan Anem

Senior Independent Advisor

Based in Singapore and Mumbai, Mohan Anem joined Armor Capital. He has over 20 years of cross-functional experience in finance as a dealmaker and investment advisor. In 2014, he served as Manager of Corporate Finance, Investments and Treasury, for a 2-billion UK/Swiss-based transport company. He also founded investment banking boutique Mainmast Capital and outsourcing company Savytree Offshoring. His qualifications include an MBA from the London Business School, and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.

Shawn Xiao

M&A Consultant

Based in Shenzhen, Shawn (CPA, CIMA) specializes in industry research, deal sourcing/execution and financial analysis. Prior to Armor Capital, he worked for a US private equity fund, a Hong Kong conglomerate, and KPMG. He holds an MBA (with Excellence Scholarship) from Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University. Shawn is a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker with fluent command of English.

François L. GIRARD

M&A Consultant

Prior to joining Armor Capital, François has benefitted from 3 years of experience in Wealth Management and Corporate & Institutional Banking at BNP Paribas and has been exposed to Chinese environment for over 7 years. Based in Hong Kong, his key responsibilities include strategic advisory, M&A origination, transactions execution, capital raising and corporate restructuring across the APAC and EMEA. He holds a Master's degree from ESCP Business School, and a BBA from UIBE in China. François is a native French speaker and is proficient in English and Mandarin.

Sophie Lucchetta

M&A Analyst

Sophie joined Armor Capital in 2019 as Analyst. She is responsible for conducting industry research and financial analysis, as well as sourcing and executing M&A deals. Prior to Armor Capital, Sophie gained experience from several notable investment firms in France, most recently as Private Equity Analyst at Meeschaert Capital Partners in Paris. She obtained her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Financial Engineering from the Paris Dauphine University in France and is fluent in English and French.

Jessica Chan

M&A Analyst

Jessica was a Financial Analyst at Procter & Gamble before joining Armor Capital. She also has experiences in business development, entrepreneurship, and risk management from several multinational organizations and startups. She obtained a BBA in Global Business from HKUST with multiple scholarships and Dean's Lists, and was a former Hong Kong Team Athlete and medalist competing at various international championships. Jessica benefits from international school education and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Michael Ma

Financial Director

Michael Ma has over 25 years of experience as an accountant, company secretary and taxation adviser. Prior to working with Armor Capital, he served as financial controller and later business development director during a seven-year tenure at an international maker of medical devices focusing on interventional cardiology. He also held the position of chief accountant for a decade at a corporate finance and asset management company licensed under the Securities and Futures Ordinance in Hong Kong. Michael is a business graduate of the University of South Australia, a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Certified Tax Adviser recognized by the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong.

Florent Ayot

IT Manager

Florent specializes in technology consulting and was a former business manager and engineer with experiences in France, China, and now Hong Kong. He consulted aeronautics companies such as Dasault, Airbus, and Rolls Royces Motors as a mechanical engineer, which led to his role as a business manager in charge of client acquisition and management in the aerospace industry for a materials testing laboratory. He then went on to take on multiple roles as entrepreneur and advisor in the web development space. Florent is fluent in French and English.
